The Broadford Football Netball Club now has a new affiliation home, AFL Outer East in Division 2.
Following methodical research and consultation, three Special General Meetings (SGM) were held to present a variety of options to ensure the BFNC were placed in a best fit model for football and netball into the future.
On Tuesday, 17 September, 2019 at the third and final SGM, 52 eligible members casted their vote opting for Outer East (47) as their home of choice over the Riddell District Football Netball League (5).
It is an exciting and proud time for us as we look to the future and embed a sustainability framework that will preserve our clubs history for another 120 years.
We will be hosting an information session on Monday, 18 November at 6:30pm designed to give another opportunity to ask questions about our new home in AFL Outer East and what Season 2020 will look like for us.
In the meantime, a suite of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is being developed to aid understanding and smooth transition for all current and prospective players, members, sponsors and volunteers.
I encourage you to send any questions you may have through to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can ensure to build into our suite of FAQs.
I, along with the committee, thank everyone who has supported and challenged us during this crucial time for the club. The healthy conversations have only strengthened our responses and ultimate decision.
I also want to thank the RDFNL for their support during this time and we wish them all the best for their competition into the future. Outer East, we also thank you for your support and look forward to a strong and enduring partnership, and being welcomed by all competition clubs throughout next year.
